Lawnscaping Challenge #12 - Sketch Challenge

This is the card I submitted for the sketch challenge over at the Lawnscaping Challenge blog. I think I like how it turned out. :)

The stamp sets I used were Lawn Fawn's Cruising Through Life and Sophie's Sentiments. I paper pieced the pinwheels and put a tiny brad through the center then used foam dots to adhere them.

The pattern papers are from Cosmo Cricket's Togetherness collection. The scallops were cut out using the Simply Scallops Medium die-namic from MFT. I decided it was time to use up some buttons and tied that around the patterned paper with some embroidery thread. The blings are from Hero Arts.

Hope you enjoyed reading and have a great day!

Memory Box Presents...Lucy's Lovely Lines

Sketch for Memory Box Presents...Lucy's Lovely Lines over at Lily Pad Cards

This is my very last minute entry for the challenge over at Lily Pad Cards presented by Memory Box. I think this card is a little too simple for my taste but I tried to see if I could put some other bling on the card and it just looked weird, so I left it as it is. :)

The balloons are from Lawn Fawn's Admit One stamp set. I coloured them with my Copics then added glitter to them. I used the Marmalade twine from The Twinery. The sentiment is from Lawn Fawn's Year One stamp set. The pattern papers from my My Mind's Eye, called Fly A Kite, part of the Lime Twist Collection.

Thanks for visiting!

Less is More - Week 21 Sketch

This is my first time submitting a card for a sketch over at Less Is More. For more details on Sketch 21 this week, please click here.

I have not really made a red card before other than for Christmas so this idea just suddenly popped into my head. Red is considered a lucky or auspicious colour for the Chinese so I thought I would stamp 'Congrats' on it and I would be able to use this card as a wedding gift card. I used my new Crafty Secrets stamp set that hubby bought for me. Then I coloured in the image with Copic Markers.

The banner layers are cut from MFT's Rounded Banner Trio die-namic. The card base is from Hero Arts Layering Paper collection. The sentiment is from Lawn Fawn's Sophie's Sentiments stamp set and the twine is from The Twinery. The crystal bling is are some Hot Rocks from Imaginisce.

A Big Thank You to my HUBBY!!!

This post is specially dedicated to my wonderful husband of 6 years. Recently, he made a trip to overseas where there is a fantastic scrapbook store and I asked him if he could just get me a few things. I didn't tell him what to get and asked him to surprise me. He returned home yesterday night with a big bag of goodies!!! I was gobsmacked!!! I haven't had time to photograph all that he got me because I wanted to write this post first. Thank you for always spoiling me!!! I am truly blessed to have you in my life!

Update : Here are the pictures!

I literally jumped for joy when I saw these stamp sets. Unfortunately I already have the Urban Chic stamp set from Tim Holtz which is the the one on the far right. So if anyone is interested in owning this beautiful set, please email me at kim8mis@gmail.com. :)

Lovely glimmer screens from Tattered Angels, Prima Flowers and embellishments from Kaisercraft!!! I've never bought any of those because they are so expensive and hubby bought me 3 different sets!!! Unfortunately also, I already have one of the glimmer screens, i.e. the Vintage Seasons, Timeless Romance one so if anyone is interested, please email me.

Various stickers and ephemera from different brands. Love them all!!

Lovely goodies from Maya Road, none of which I have...Love them!!

Hope you enjoyed hubby's haul for me! Have a great weekend everyone!

Lawnscaping Challenge #11

This is my card entry for Lawnscaping's Challenge # 11 which is to make a clean and simple card. I hope this makes the cut! Unfortunately, I'm making this card for my husband since our 6th anniversary is in five days time and he subscribes to my feed, so hubby, if you're reading this, DON'T. Hahaha..

I used the ferris wheel stamp from Lawn Fawn's Admit One stamp set. The sentiment is from the Sophie's Sentiment and Smitty's ABC stamp sets. I really love the Lawn Fawn alpha sets because you can make any sentiment you want and it is the only alpha stamp set which doesn't look weird when you put words together. What I mean is, the alphabets don't stamp far apart making it look weird. Hahaha. Hope you get what I mean. The little brad in the middle of the ferris wheel is from KI Memories.

Anyhow, that's all from me! Thank you for visiting my blog!

Lily Pad Card Challenges and MFT Wednesday Stamp Club Sketch #22

This card was made for the following challenges :

I used patterned papers from the Basic Grey's Nook and Pantry Collection and paired it with cardstock from Bazzill. The stamp is from MFT's a la modes collection called What's Cooking. The circle doily and border strip is also from MFT and they are the Decorative Doily Die and Little Open Scallop Strip Die. The crystals were adhered with my i-rock tool which I love. :)

Hope you all enjoyed! Have a great week everyone!
