Get Sketchy Challenge #79

This is my challenge entry for GS Challenge #79. I made a pretty simple card without too much layering as I have not done that in a while. I knew I wanted to use kraft cardstock and my new stamp from the collaboration between Hero Arts and Basic Grey. After looking through all my patterned papers (not that there are many), I finally decided to use a simple polka dot background from Cosmo Cricket's Mitten Weather Collection. I sprayed the patterned paper with Glimmer Mist in Pearl to give it an extra something something. :)

The sentiment and the bee image is from Basic Grey's What A Pear stamp set. I stamped it using Hero Hues Chalk Ink in the colour Latte.

The flower was made using Hero Arts Cling Stamp in Luscious Bold Flowers, a new collaboration stamp set with Basic Grey. I stamped the largest flower on Cosmo Cricket's Wanted Collection patterned paper and embossed in white. Then I used the medium sized flower stamp and embossed with Lindy Stamp Gang's two toned embossing powder in Reindeer Moss Green. The smallest flower was embossed with LSG's Midnight Bronze Obsidian embossing powder. I put the different flowers together with a jewel brad from American Crafts. Here is a closer look at the flower.

On the inside of the card, I used Martha Stewart's Wild Flowers Border Punch to add a little more interest. I also sprayed the patterned paper with Pearl Glimmer Mist.

Thanks for stopping by my blog!
