Scrapbook Album for my Mom

I decided to make my mom a chipboard scrapbook album for Christmas in 2010. The chipboard album I used is from Bo Bunny and it spells out "MOM". I have never attempted to make an album so I thought I should start out 'small' and this is the end result.

It is very girly all round and what I did was incorporate pictures of my mom with my sisters and I and also with her grandkids. The front title of the album reads "Domestic Goddess" because that's what my mom really is. She cooks amazing meals and my parents' home is always spick and span! She is amazing with the grandkids and never seems to tire, like the energizer bunny.

The papers I used for are mostly from Pink Paislee's Sweetness Collection but I used one sheet of a damask patterned paper from My Mind's Eye for the third fifth page of the album. I used some lace, bling and flowers from Prima along with some felt flowers I cut out using Tim Holtz's Tattered Florals Sizzix die.

I also had some space for journaling about my mom embellished with Tim Holtz Muse tags, pearl brads from My Mind's Eye and some crocheted lace I bought at a local haberdashery store.

My mom loves the album and my next project is one for my niece! I will post that one up when it's done (may take a while).

Thanks for visiting!
